The 2023 Christmas Gift Guide guides are looking a little different this year. Gone are our lengthy intros and posed imagery. Feedback is that readers want candid snaps of what they get from the retailer – what is in boxes and pots! The packaging and how it comes in the post. Buy one or two gifts she will love rather than a bundle of gimmicky ones that will live in the back of a cupboard. Radical suggestion? Ask what people need or would like. Also we went with His/Her guides this year because they are the most widely searched but please interchange the guides for all genders ?

I don’t like overly sweet candles, and this gives out such a soft, lasting fragrance. What I love about this Gold Award Winner – IWSC (International Wines and Spirits Competition) 2021 is the bottle and branding quality. You feel like you are not missing out. The drink includes No Sugar, No Sweeteners, is Vegan, Lactose Free, and Gluten Free. You smell the lovely scent of Rhubarb first and the taste is primarily Rhubarb and berry (with a hint of citrus) which is followed by a dry taste from the botanicals. When you add 50ml over ice, topped with 150ml tonic and garnished with a lime wedge raspberries it is the closest alcohol-free alternative that I have ever tasted to actual alcohol. Tsubaki oil, which is extracted from the Japanese camellia plant, adds shine. I like that the suggestions are only a couple of minutes and realistic as part of a busy lifestyle. The stretching tips I particularly enjoyed. With over 50 rituals to try the book is jam-packed. The Herbal Apothecary is by best-selling author of The Hedgerow Apothecary and The Garden Apothecary Christine Iverson (Hardcover, RRP £14.99). I love this collection, and The Herbal Apothecary is a beautiful photographic guide to working with herbs and spices to create healing remedies and delicious recipes using everyday ingredients found in herb gardens and kitchen cupboards. Sections help you safely identify plants, offer advice on what is available each season, how best to grow, prepare, and preserve your herbs and spices, and the folklore surrounding plants. The herbal remedies are particularly useful for treating coughs and colds! Finally, we feature another Hardback – The Dog Lover’s Puzzle Book by Kate May (RRP, 12.99) packed with dog-themed puzzles – including Sudoku and cryptic crosswords.
