Frugi Organic Children’s Clothes.
Cornwall based Frugi was branded in 2008 and they are a company well known for strong values – making clothes that are kind for skin and kind to the environment.
The beautiful Organic cotton children’s clothes are vibrant, practical, and made of the highest quality for both day-to-day and occasion wear. Created with little ones in mind, all of Frugi’s super soft clothes are chemical free, helping to prevent irritation especially for sensitive and eczema prone skin. Production is ethical ensuring fair working conditions. Frugi also support bees, trees & seas by donating a percentage of their turnover to charity.
It is no wonder that this fair-trade brand is so popular with parents that fall in love with the fun designs and bold colours for babies up to 10 years old. They also have a gorgeous maternity section! Frugi are business as usual and working hard to deliver orders with minimum delay. There is a huge SALE on.
#Lerryn Body Suit.
How could anyone not fall in love with this gorgeous design? On sale for £6 it is an absolute bargain. Even though Norah is 2 (and some) I still find bodysuits a really useful addition to her wardrobe, ideal for layering under dungarees, dresses and tops, or on its own for waterplay in the garden! The long-sleeved Lerryn Body is made from 95% GOTS certified Organic Cotton Jersey and 5% stretchy Elastane. It is so soft but also hardwearing, Frugi items are made to last. After 5 washes there is no sign of fading. The strong double stitched seams mean the suit does not rip during adventurous play. The design is so child friendly and considerate, even to the printed back label that will not itch little necks. For effortless changing the bodysuit has a poppered underneath. In the ages up to 6 months the body has popper fastenings on both shoulders and to 3 years popper fastenings are on one shoulder for easy dressing. Size wise – as Norah is tall, we buy up, but this fits her long body perfectly. There are more in the collection with the gorgeous Pacific Aqua Clouds all over print!
#Hallie Linen Dress.
Retailing for £15 this beautiful dress has a wonderful classic vintage look. The lightweight material is perfect for keeping her cool on warm summer days or layered up the pinafore dress for the coming Autumn. The dress is 60% soft Organic cotton and 40% delicate linen with a 100% Voile lining. I would suggest giving it a delicate wash before wearing. The Steely Blue Scatter Spot all over print is partnered with watermelon pink buttons and a fun Bunny character applique on the front. The perfect play dress The Hallie dress has a relaxed, loose but comfortable fit, elasticated underarms, and adjustable shoulder straps. Why not pair it with the gorgeous pink rabbit applique cardigan.
Twinning: The dress is great for sibling matching with the Frugi Lexi Linen Dungarees for older kids!
#Little Norah Tights.
The best non-bobbly (non-technical lingo) tights I have ever had for Norah. For £7.20 these tights are a little piece of art. Steel Blue stripes with Kiwi Green heels and Watermelon Pink toes perfectly match the sweet little deer scene at the bottom. Great for keeping your little one’s legs warm and cosy, these tights look gorgeous layered under Frugi’s coordinating dresses. The Little Norah Tights are thick, soft but not overly hot. Made from 84% soft Organic Cotton, 12% Polyamide and 4% stretchy Elastane. The waistband is comfy, and the tights offer plenty of growing room.
PLEASE NOTE: Pre-washing your Frugi tights inside out will help to increase their longevity!
#Snuggle Fleece and Tyler Ripstop Combats.
Frugi has a lot of choice for older children with some versatile, cleverly designed pieces of clothing made with both practicality and style in mind. Leo is getting to that pre-teen stage where he loves bright colours and designs but wants to not look ‘babyish’. Perfect for summer evenings or cold Autumn days the much-loved Snuggle Fleece has a hand warmer pocket on the front and a high collar. The Organic Cotton Jersey fabric is fully lined with 10mm Organic Snuggle Fleece is super soft. The only thing I would suggest would be to delicates wash the jumper first as it sheds a little on the first wear. The popper neck fastenings are perfect for easy dressing and there is a handy hanging loop a the back of the neck. For £25.20 its a steal and I only wish they did it in adult sizing. Selling for £17.50 the best buy has to be the Tyler Ripstop Combats. The GOTS certified Organic cotton weave means they are more flexible than denim for active children (the double layered knees help too!) There are useful pockets both front and back and the elasticated rib waistband and adjustable cotton draw cord offers the perfect fit. My favourite feature is that there are clever zips to turn them into shorts and roll up bottoms so they can be 3/4 lengths as well as usual trousers!
#Puddle Buster Wellington Boots.
Any parent will know that whether summer or winter wellies are a necessity with children. There are always rainy days and muddy puddles! On sale for £14.40 there are five fun and colourful patterns available each with the Frugi branded badge on the side. We love the little Japanese Mandarin Duck print. These wellies coordinate perfectly with Frugi’s outerwear collections- Puddle Buster Coats, Trousers and the NEW Rain Or Shine Jackets, Trousers and Suits, great for the ultimate wet weather armour. Made with super flexible Natural Rubber with a soft cotton lining the wellies are thick but easy to put on and flexible for running, jumping etc! PVC free the Puddle Buster boots sit mid-calf and have thick, supportive heels.
PLEASE NOTE: Wash with fresh water and let them air dry, avoid radiators.
