Introducing Oii clothing for children.
Oii is an eco-conscious Swedish children’s fashion label founded in Göteborg, who focus on original design and sustainable production. The majority of the range is made from recycled polyester and organic cotton.
The current collections theme is the playfulness of the sea, interpreted through several unique and friendly illustrations created by illustrator Beata Boucht. Think quirky sailors & smiling jellyfish! The colour palette of the season is dominated by earthy tones of red, orange and blue in a revival of denim, complemented by subdued pastel hues.
I love the bursts of colour, interesting eighties inspired patterns, and statement ruffles. Oii is certainly here to brighten wardrobes.
What I love about this Scandi label is that the collection consists of a variety of garments created to mix and match, with comfort in mind, for children between 2-12 years. Key styles include printed jerseys. The clothes versatility in terms of being gender neutral and age balanced is impressive. With the ambition to create long-lasting garments, Oii promotes a circular approach to consumption by encouraging its customers to take good care of the items and pass them on once outgrown.
Putting Oii to the test we created outfits for our two- and nine-year olds with our favourite all rounder pieces from the collection! P.s. Oii are currently having a SALE.
#Navy & Cream Frank Ribbed Cardigan.
I will hold my hands up and admit I am not a fan of hoodies. They can look scruffy and Leo just must put the hood up, even in summer, in the kitchen. The Frank chunky cardigan (£47) is perfect for the transition of seasons, layer it up in winter or wear over a colourful T which the V neck will show off. The perfect balance between practicality – warmth and style. Designed in a cream and navy ribbed cotton, the design is unique, cool but simple with the logo badge that reminds me of a radio, so it is another versatile item. 50% Cotton and 50% Acrylic the material passes Leo’s itch test being comfortable and lightweight. Although it is button down the buttons are minimal and large for faff free dressing. What I like that it is not a delicate item, the washing instructions are the same as the other items of clothing, an eco-friendly wash at 40 degrees. Co-ordinate with the matching Frankie beanie hat from the collection!
#Blue Denim Worker Pant.
The staple bottoms for tweens is jeans. Leo being a highly active boy so can get irritated by skinny fit ankles and thick materials that rub. The blue pants are essentially breathable jogger type trousers that have a cool denim like appearance. Perfect for casual days the dark colour means they can be easily paired with mix and max items, white tees, hoodies, patterns, you name it they are a versatile piece for a child’s wardrobe! They also do not show grass stains! Selling for £33 the pants are made of 100% Cotton. You can tell the quality from the super soft touch. Finished with an elasticated drawstring waistband for easy fit, there are useful pockets to the front and the colour does not run in the wash. So far I am pleased there is no signs of bobbling after 6 machine spins and tumble dries.
#Pinstripe Flag T-shirt.
The ideal everyday piece. First of all, I love this t shirt. The geometric flag print has an eighties, video game, Fresh Prince of Bel Air vibe. Not that Leo knows what any of those things are. He called it funky. Balancing blue and pink so many of Oii’s clothes would suit boys or girls and I love that the creative team put so much thought into their collections. The pure cotton design retails for £20 and is finished with short sleeves that are not tight to the arms.
#Multicoloured Pale Flag Cap.
Perfect for all sorts of adventures I wanted to pick singular pieces from Oii’s range that can be worn with most wardrobe staples and which you can wear together as a complete outfit. This multicoloured cap (£15) perfectly complements the pinstripe t with its shape print. Crafted from a durable polyester it has a peaked visor and an adjustable back for a precise fit. The material means it dries quick and is easy to wipe clean.
#Blue Denim Worker Skirt.
Twinning a denim look with your big brother is winning right? Combining comfort and style, this blue skirt from Oii is a wardrobe must at £29. Perfect for toddler age children with its loose fit to girls up to eleven this is a timeless skirt! Crafted from 100% soft cotton, it features an elasticated drawstring waistband, pockets to the side and buttons to the front. Layer with tights on cold days or with trainers and a white tee for a laid-back summer look. As a mum I love the practicality of this skirt, no layers, no bows or frills just simple beautiful.
#Safari Yellow Ribbed Grandpa Top.
Always in style this mustard-toned top (£22) from Oii is perfect under or over other tops. Crafted in a soft cotton blend, the ribbed style has three buttons at the neck and embroidered branding at the hip. I really liked the length of the body and the sleeve, no exposed tummy or arms with this fit! Again, a perfect gender-neutral top. Chic and simple. Come winter this top will pair up well with a dark blue gilet!
#Safari Frill Jumper.
A failsafe buy, the safari jumper is available for £47 and has a design like no other in Norah’s wardrobe. Offered for everyday dressing it ups any outfit with its nod to Spanish ruffles and wave like frills. The sandy beige simple and comfortable cotton-mix finish makes it ideal for days both outdoors and keeping cosy in the house. Contrasting with the blue trim and hem if you wanted to go all out Oii designed a matching skirt! 50% Cotton and 50% Acrylic the jumper is soft but robust and difficult to snag. There is also one in a dusty rose tone.

Refreshing to hear a company encourage the passing down of long-lasting garments. Makes a change from the rampant consumerism that most try to prompt. #KCACOLS
