Are you looking for tips to keep your hair healthy?

Do you suffer from dry hair and split ends? Pollution, the constant use of styling tools and colorants, excessive sun exposure, nutritional deficiencies, postpartum shedding, excessive hair wash and use of harsh hair products all damage the hair.

You may need to change some of your daily hair habits and why not try using a couple of our natural remedies for dry and damaged hair. Don’t believe us? Use any of these conditioning hair masks twice a week for damaged hair or once a month and see the results for yourselves. Moreover, to boost the effectiveness of these remedies, consider maintaining a healthy diet and staying hydrated. For example, home IV infusion in Boston or any other location near you may provide essential nutrients and hydration, which can contribute to healthier hair when combined with a balanced diet and proper hair care.

Instead of wasting your money on products that might not even work, why not try some home hacks?

Bye, bye bad hair days.

#Tip ONE: Wash well.

Use warm water for shampooing and cold for conditioning. If the water is too hot it can damage hair. Industry experts argue that less is more. Three times a week is often enough to wash. Natural or herbal shampoos are best, the less chemicals the better. Pick bottles that are sulphate-free with softening oils like sweet almond, Argan, and soybean.

Freshly brewed, strong chamomile (or brunettes can use black tea) soothes irritated scalp as well as reducing and preventing dandruff. For that, rinse your hair with cold chamomile tea after you shampoo your hair.

#Tip TWO: Condition.

Our scalp naturally produces oil every day, so adding extra can give your hair a greasy look, apply a moisturizing conditioner 2 inches away from roots. Use the same brand and line as the shampoo as they will have a similar product formation.

Banana is a great source of silica which makes hair brighter and reduces hair loss. Combine one ripe mashed banana with 2 teaspoons of coconut oil. Put this on the hair, cover with a shower cap, hot towel and leave for 20 minutes.

#Tip THREE: Be kind to wet locks.

Pat hair instead of rubbing it vigorously with a towel. Avoid the hot blast of a hairdryer. You still may be losing too much moisture during the drying process. Try wrapping hair with a cloth rather than air drying. I choose to plait loosely at bedtime as leaving hair down creates nots at night.

Organic beer can help make hair smooth and shiny. Leave it a couple of days until it is flat then put it in a spray bottle and spritz onto your hair. You can wash it out after 20 minutes or sleep overnight. Make sure you wash the beer out with mild shampoo.

#Tip FOUR: Avoid tight hair updos.

Reduce hair breakage! Cloth scrunchies are better than elastics. Avoid tight buns, leave your hair down, switch partings and choose natural silk or satin pillow covers. Nourishing masks are the way to go and are so relaxing. Ensure you wear a hat in sun, or on really cold days to protect your head. If you have extensions make sure you remove them and give your hair time to regrow. If you want added volume or have a hair condition, then consider a remy hair wig and virgin hair wig that feel super soft and shiny. Unlike other protective hairstyles, wigs are quite convenient.

Warm up half a cup of olive oil, being careful not to boil it. Massage into your scalp. Allow the oil to sit for at least 45 minutes so the moisture can build up. Afterwards, shampoo and rinse. Want something a bit more extravagant? Combine a ripe, mashed avocado with an egg to make a smooth paste. Apply this on wet hair and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse well.

#Tip FIVE: Using products sensibly!

We all know that regular trims can keep hair healthy. Short hair should be trimmed every 4 to 8 weeks, while the recommended time period for trimming for medium to long hair is 6 to 12 weeks. Whilst you may think treating hair with products is helpful if you go to far you can overwhelm with a build-up. Ends may seem dry, but roots feel greasy even after washing. If this is happening to you then you may need to strip your hair.

Simply mix 1/4 cup of apple cider diluted with 3/4 cup water and cleanse your hair with it. Follow up with a moisturizing conditioner of your choice.
