IMO Q4 Pro Smartphone Review.

Most people from 16 to 60 will own a smartphone, even my 9-year-old is asking for one. A creature of habit I spent years with an iPhone in my pocket, but found if you don’t own the complete set of Apple products like an iPod, iPad, Mac etc then transferring data and syncing devices can be problematic. Starting a new contract resulted in a trade to a Google Pixel 3 (because it had a decent camera and a free Amazon Echo gift).
Personally, I think that the Android operating system has more hardware choices and more affordable options than IOS.

IMO Q4 Pro screen and display.
The Q4 Pro comes with a 5.45-inch HD screen which has an 18:9 ratio. This is an average sized phone perfect for on the move viewing. If your kids plan on binge watch Disneylife rotate the mobile to view the edge-to-edge display. Pay close attention to the IMO Q4 540 x 1132 dpi resolution. As simple comparison my Google Pixel 3 is 1080 x 2160. Rather than be inadvertently put off by confusing numbers – side by side the colour quality difference is obvious the Q4 (top) not having the same depth, so Madam Gazelle looks a little anemic. On the plus side the display quality is decent from all viewing angles, apps look clear, motion handling seems good when scrolling and the screen brightness means it is easy to see out of doors in direct sunlight. Considering the Google mobile retails at around 8 times the price of the Q4 Pro, I was impressed and could happily use the mobile on a day to day basis as it offers an enjoyable viewing experience.
Also, if we are considering entertainment media there is a headphone jack and the sound quality and volume of the Q4 Pro is perfect for Spotify when out for a run.
It’s all about the look.
The IMO Q4 Pro Midnight Blue colour is a good choice aesthetically. Sensible design-wise – it is lightweight, compact (141.2-68.1-9.7mm) and fits perfectly in your pocket. For me this is ideal mobile size for one hand use, the curved back Is comfortable to hold and you don’t have to stretch your thumb to type. The plastic body casing offers durability. Plastic is the most cost-effective material to clad a smartphone and the more flexible nature makes it a better shock absorber if you drop the mobile, meaning it’s more resistant to cracking. My only potential Con is that the removable back of the IMO Q4 Pro is attached by small plastic clips which have the potential to snap if the phone is handles roughly. The screen is likely to show marks but as I always add a protector to protect my smartphones so for me this would not be much of an issue. I will want to see how a full day’s work use effects the phone in regard to heat in that plastic phones sometimes do conduct more.
IMO Q4 system.
With the Android 9 Go operating system and quad core 1.4GHz processor, IMO Q4 Pro has the power to keep up with your daily demands. Here’s an easy way to look at smartphones’ RAM, which is critical for multitasking. With 1GB of system memory (RAM) the IMO Q4 Pro is on the lower side for multitasking. That said it offered good-enough performance for keeping up with my checking of social media and making calls through the day etc and I did not find the device too slow. I was able to keep a couple of tabs open Google or a couple of apps running simultaneously. Like everything it depends on user needs and what you are used too i.e. If you are a mobile gamer, you should be looking at phones with more RAM.
IMO Q4 Pro storage.
The 16GB internal memory provides ample space to store your favourite photos, videos and downloaded applications. Ideally on a phone as apps are much bigger these days, and pictures can take a lot of space if you’re not storing them in the cloud then a minimum of 32GB is preferable. That said the IMO Q4 Pro microSD card slot allows you to boost the storage space which is a great feature given the affordability of sims.
What about the battery life?
Its 2500mAh battery ensures productivity and entertainment needs are met throughout the day. Promotions boast up to 12 hours talk time and 25 days stand-by time. A positive for me is the removable battery which has seemed to have fallen out of favour with modern mobiles but is a useful feature. Why? Once your existing battery stops holding a charge for as long as it did when it was fresh, you can just swap in a new one without having to pay for new phone.
IMO Q4 Pro Camera.
With a dual rear camera, 8MP and 0.3MP and a 5MP front lens the IMO Q4 Pro to captures clear images. The light in the images are good and the Q4 Pro is easily operated to take quick snaps and it has extras such as HDR and beauty filter. IMO Face Unlock makes your life easier with simple set-up and instant unlock. As well as adding an extra layer of security, they’re a great time-saving function. I favor this over a fingerprint scanner as having small people my hands are always wet or sticky!
If you’re looking to save money and still get a capable handset then the IMO Q4 Pro is a very good option and is available from Tesco Mobile here: Unarguably one of the best things about this mobile is the price. Budget phones are not only ideal for first time mobile buyers and grandparents, developments in accessibility and Android applications means that you can get a lot for a little. You will find some sacrifices in performance compared to flagship mobiles, but I am a fan of the budget market.
