Father’s Day Gift Guide 2021

by Author: Jade Lloyd

#AD Gifted. We have been kindly gifted the products for our Father’s Day guide, all thoughts and opinions are our own.

Father’s Day 2021 is fast approaching.

If you are looking for some Father’s Day shopping inspiration check out our list of items that can be bought online and delivered to his doorstep. He has probably already told you that he doesn’t want anything this year but it’s important to show your dad/grandad that you love them after a difficult year. The best gift, if you can is to see them.

Here are the best Father’s Day gift ideas for 2021.

# Malteser® Hat and Moustache Tree.

Christina Brown, owner of Sweet Tree by Browns, an e-commerce confectionery brand based in northwest London makes some unique and chocolatey gifts perfect for Father’s Day. She and her all-woman production team create fabulous pieces and gifts for all occasions, but our favourite is the handmade Malteser Sweet Tree. Available in small 25cm (suitable for 1 -3 person) and medium 35cm (4 – 6 persons) the gift retails for £25.99. Made with Belgian chocolate and Maltesers® the vase is filled with edible soil in which the Sweet Tree is planted. Like all trees, the Sweet Tree trunk is made from wood, so please do not attempt to eat this! The chocolate hat and moustache gave us a good giggle. For no extra cost you can have the glass personalised with a set seasonal message. For £5 you may have any name or message of your choice (up to 25 characters) written on the glass. Perfect for a dad with a sweet tooth and sense of humour it stays fresh for up to 4 months if stored in its original packaging.

# Thinkware F800 PRO Dash Cam.

Dash cams are becoming increasingly popular with motorists. The Thinkware F800 PRO has a front-facing camera and an optional 1080p Full HD rear-facing camera.  Many accidents on the road happen at low speeds and involve rear-end collisions. The smart, low profile cam has a 140-degree wide angle lens and it is so popular as it is packed with features including: Super Night Vision, built-in GPS to track location alongside video recording and G sensor to protect recordings when an impact is detected. I like that it has Safety Camera Alerts and (energy saving) Parking Mode that detects impact and motion. For security the cam offers the ability to geofence an area, so you can be notified when your car containing the F800 Pro leaves this area and as well as the ability to locate your vehicle when parked. The Advanced Driving Assistance System includes a Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning System. A 32GB microSD card is included for storage. This will be enough for over 400 minutes of footage before looping begins to erase older files. The F800 PRO does not have a built-in screen so configuration happens in the Thinkware Cloud app. Tutorials help with setup. As a tip the adhesive plate that attaches to the windscreen should be positioned accurately the first time as you can’t rotate the cam left and right. It is a fab gift for the dad who loves his car!

# Tracklements Father’s Day Bundle.

Based in the heart of Wiltshire and founded in the 1970’s, Tracklements lovingly make an award-winning range of over 60 artisan condiments, from the UK’s first Wholegrain Mustard to Fresh Chilli Jam. Handmade in small batches the simple planet friendly ingredients make for clean, classic, delicious tastes. It is not only the ingredients they source with care but Tracklements also work with ethical energy provider Good Energy to ensure that 100% of the electricity they use is renewable and sustainable. The packaging is also green, FSC certified cardboard, with biodegradable bubble bags, packed with vegetable starch curls that dissolve in water. I really love the illustrations and attention to detail of the packaging. At just £18.20 for five of their best sellers it can be delivered directly to your Dad’s door. The decoratively boxed bundle includes British Beer Mustard, 140g – Made with a malty local Wiltshire beer. Particularly British Piccalilli, 270g – with a sharp punch and moreish crunch. Spitfire Chilli Mustard, 140g. Not for the faint hearted! Perfect Ploughman’s Pickle, 295g and Fresh Chilli Jam, 250g – which is lovely and sticky sweet. Maybe buy a few different types of cheese to accompany it!

# Conker Dorset Dry Gin.

Conker is run by a team of friends, sharing a passion to build a world-class distillery, on a shoestring budget in Southbourne in Bournemouth, Dorset. Launched in 2014 the recipe of their founding product, the Dorset Dry, was developed in Rupert’s kitchen on a 1.5-litre alembic pot still. Luckily, Rupert’s landlord was fine with the HMRC registering his kitchen for this purpose! (You’ll find this kitchen’s coordinates on every bottle of the Dorset Dry). A fresh take on a London Dry (but not too dry) each bottle is packed full of British wheat spirit and New Forest Spring Water sourced from just outside Ringwood in Hampshire. It contains 10 botanicals, is well-balanced and Juniper-led, with notes of elderberries, marsh samphire and hand foraged gorse flowers from the clifftops. From the website, to the bottle design, to the taste, award winning Conker is a brand that exudes passion. The drink is zesty and smooth with a perfectly aimed kick. I love a gin straight up with tonic, call me patriotic, but I also enjoy a dry gin with a dash of ginger ale and squeeze of lime. A 70cl bottle retails for £36 and raises £5 for the RNLI on their mission to end preventable loss of life at sea. On a side note, Expresso Martini is my partners favourite cocktail which I can’t usually drink…but Conker also sells a decaf coffee liqueur with a pretty sexy mixing video on the website. That is going in the online shopping basket.

All items are ethically sourced and 100% vegan – many are PETA Approved, organic, Fair Wear or Fair Trade, and printed or embroidered with vegan inks and thread. With summer weather coming the Vegan Cameo Cap retails for £16 in a range of colours made of 100% cotton that is ONE SIZE with Rip-Strip adjuster. Lightweight and affordable it is sponge cleanable which is very handy. As a plus 10% of profits go back to help fund animal rescue. Their policy is simple… they hope you love the clothes, but if there are any issues, let them know and they will put it right straight away. The clothes are great for dad…if the kids do not steal them first.

# Cranes Mixed Cider Bundle.

I was born in Herefordshire and live in Devon…so it is safe to say I am a big fan of cider. So is my other half. The Cranes company was started by identical twin brothers Ben and Dan Ritsema and the 100% natural ingredient filled ciders are handcrafted in Cambridge where they are also bottled and dispatched in 100% natural packaging. Cranes fruit ciders are vegan and gluten-free. They utilise the natural sweetness of the superfruits, meaning they contain 30% fewer calories and 40% less sugar than brand leaders. The Mixed Cider Bundle contains all of Cranes delicious ciders! – perfect for sampling! Inside are 2 x Premium Apple Ciders crafted using British Apples, 2 x Lemons & Kumquats the new flavour, which is really refreshing, 2 x Raspberries & Pomegranates my favourite as it is nice and sweet, a bottle of Blueberries & Apples, zesty bottle of Cranberries & Limes and bottle of Premium Apple Low Alcohol Cider 0.5% which is a nice addition.

British brand Bedroom Athletics have been making luxury slippers, slipper boots and beautiful bedtime wear for men and women since 2007. Their mission is to ‘ban boring bedwear’ by selling style and substance, for lounging, relaxing, working or simply just being at home. The high-quality Brody – Slipper Clogs retail for £35.00. Available in sizes 7 – 12 and two colours, Navy and Grey Marl with contrast piping they are well designed contemporary felt slippers. They are simple but smart and what really impressed me is the thick and sturdy soft suede moulded foot bed. This gives me reassurance as my grandad needs a supportive shoe. The sole is nonslip so practical and felting also means the slippers are nice and warm! A standout slipper! As a bonus they offer Free Shipping over £40.

They are a brand we have tested before and are my choice for the kids bottles that do not leak. The Contigo Matterhorn water bottle (£17.99) designs have marble patterns and metallic coatings. It is made from Thermalock vacuum-insulated stainless steel and the tethered lid is leak-proof, and the spout twists off to allow for easy cleaning and adding ice cubes. I like the size and how easy it is to wash.  A coffee lover’s dream, the Contigo’s Autoseal Luxe travel mug keeps drinks piping hot for 5 hours (or cold for 12 if iced drinks are your thing) and has a lockable push-button lid in six metallic finishes. # The Oxford Artisan Distillery Rye Vodka.

Obviously, I am a big fan of craft distilleries. Introducing the first vodka release from The Oxford Artisan Distillery. Located in the heart of Oxford, they are the only distillery in the world to use populations of ancient heritage grains to produce their full range of spirits. Responsible farming means no fungicides, no herbicides and no pesticides are used. The bespoke handmade copper stills are something to behold so an Oxford Artisan Distillery tour would be a bonus gift!  The award-winning Oxford Rye Organic Vodka comes in a nice solid bottle and I love the black and gold labelling complimented with the black wax seal. Because of its malty caramel undertone, you can get away with having it over ice without a mixer…but it is vodka so – Moscow Mule anyone? At £34.95 it is certainly one to add to the collection.

Above all, just be sure to let dad know how much you appreciate them.
